-------------FRANCAIS------------
Je me rends à Cordoba .
A bientôt
-------------ENGLISH------------
Pointing Ushuaia on the little map on the side thought I'd done quite a way ... Actually I also thought it was a good opportunity to update my blog.
So where was I? Bolivia! Wow
I am “forced” to stay in Sucre "after having my debit card swallowed by a stupid ATM on a Friday night! I am without money until the day the bank opened the machine, which for some unknown reasons is always on Tuesdays. "But if the machine is there and you have the key to open it, why can’t you do this on Monday I need my money you idiot ! that what I wanted to say to the man in charge ! I didn’t otherwise I would have “mysteriously disappeared” in Bolivia. Fortunately, my favorite Irish girl, Joanne, is there to mother me. And it was finally not that bad to spend a few more days to Sucre. Eating, drinking, going to the movies, I also wasted my time to teach Joanne how to play chess and the two last days we made some volunteering in an orphanage and a nursery where children were chatting and drawing with the kids.
I end up leaving Sucre and Bolivia a few days later to get in Argentina. The border crossing is over a river with a canoe, followed by a first customs control very, very, verrrrrry slow when I am getting jealous of the sheeps which can go back and forth through the customs without being questions asked. I even begin to believe they are doing it on purpose just to anoy me. For the second control I ask to pass everybody because I don’t want to miss the bus I booked from Bolivia. Seeing that I'm getting nervous the guy at the customs takes his time. I ended up running to the bus that leaves the second after I get in. I AM IN ARGENTINA! I arrived in Salta in the night.
In the hostel I meet a group of French people (Marine, Flossie and Benjamin) who are all traveling separately but we get together for one day and rent a car to drive through the sublime wine route in Cayafate. I also try my first ampanada. We all leave Salta in different directions. I am going to Cordoba.
I find my harem that I had made in Bogota, Colombia: I named Dani, Fer, La Palo and Yani ! I chill out in Cordoba to have a break and for my birthday: 25 years old! I stay a fantastic month and a half in Yani’s place. I get into the Argentinian culture starting with the food: ampanandas, locro, salame, wine, assado (do not tell the Argentines that is like a big barbecue) and el dulce de leche ! there is also the tango, and mate every day. For those who have no idea what I am talking about: see internet. I also do a month of intensive swimming. Well I am having fun but t but I still have to visit Argentina ! I redo my bag and left Cordoba time to see the South.
Mendoza and its wine and olive oil tasting. Bariloche and it’s beautiful lake, El Bolson. The more I'm heading south the colder it gets. I arrived in El Calafate after 26 hours of overheated bus. But it's worth it. I once again find unique places on the planet.
I don’t stop there. After a few days here I head further south in Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire in Spanish). A paradoxical name, roads, rivers, lakes are frozen and snowy. La Tierra del Fuego is a world of ice. I arrived in Ushuaia. The city of "The World’s end" marks a final point to the chapter of my journey which was heading south.
Here everything seems frozen by the cold. The sun shows up at 10 am, hardly rise over the horizon, and softly starts to fall down at 16 pm
